Writing Exercises, Friday evenings, Box Cafe
A gift certificate for one, two, or three of our writing exercise sessions at The Box Cafe (47 Norfolk Street, near the Grafton Centre) are perfect for someone who wants to connect with other creative people and stretch their skills in an encouraging environment. We meet one Friday a month (excluding December) from 6pm-8pm; your recipient can let us know their dates of choice after they've opened it. Our immediately upcoming dates are up on the website, and we're happy to email about dates beyond those.
Upcoming sessions to choose from include September 18th, October 9th, November 6th. 2027 dates TBD, one Friday every month except December.

Sunday March 14th 2pm-5pm Fantasy Fiction with Menna van Praag at The Museum of Cambridge A deep dive into the breadth of speculative fiction - from magical realism to high fantasy via fairytales and touching briefly on science fiction – this class will support you in creating fantastical worlds to enchant and enthral. With a particular focus on portals, along with the essential fantastical tropes you need to know, this class will inspire and empower you to write fantastic fantasy novels!

MayDay Weekend Writing Retreat
Full payment for the 2027 May Day Writing Retreat at Westminster College, Cambridge, on Saturday May 1, Sunday May 2, and Monday May 3. It covers all daytime teaching and full hot lunch each day.
