Four Sunday afternoon classes, 2pm-5pm, at The Museum of Cambridge's Enid Porter Room. You can choose from writing fantasy on March 1st, writing crime April 19th, writing humour May 17th, and/or learning about publishing June 14th. £75 each. Join us!

Fantastical Fiction with Menna van Praag

A deep dive into the breadth of speculative fiction - from magical realism to high fantasy via fairytales and touching briefly on science fiction – this class will support you in creating fantastical worlds to enchant and enthral. With a particular focus on portals, along with the essential fantastical tropes you need to know, this class will inspire and empower you to write fantastic fantasy novels!

This three-hour class will ready you to start putting your own mystery on the page, or to get through the difficult middle of the novel you’ve already started.

    Comic Fiction with Menna van Praag When life feels bleak, readers, agents and editors, turn to lighter fiction to offer temporary escape from the unremitting cycle of bleak news and hope for happier times to come. Whether you want to write out-and-out comedy, or simply inject a little humour into your current work-in-progress, this is the class for you!
